CLASSES FOR YOUNGER STUDENTS

We are happy to give guidance, advice and support to those who would like to realize their dream to become professional ballet dancers, in whoch case we offer private and semi-private lesson to be designed to your wishes. No matter  your age or former experience in dance, we can tailor the class to your needs. You can request private sessions of any class that we offer in our schedule, or you can contact us with any wishes for any kind of privat tutoring you may be interested in. Classes are designed according to the level of the student, their personal needs and desires. We custom make the classes based on your wishes (lenght, frequency, day, time, level, etc. ). CLASSICAL DANCE CHILDREN
4-6/ 7-9/ 10-12

Every child benefit from quality dance training, even though he or she may ultimately choose another career path. Here at Sur Les Pointes (SLP) children learn the cooperative teamwork necessary to produce a high-quality work of art. They develop creative thinking skills and the ability to push themselves to higher achievements. They learn about music and rhythm and are introduced to the French and Russian languages. They are taught to think with both sides of their brain while learning to dance. Their self-confidence and self-esteem continue to develop as they conquer new movements and grow more certain of their ability to apply, to work hard, and to master any task put before them.

Our students will enter the society with the ability to do well at whatever life will place before them, and with the ability to maintain the uncompromising high standards absorbed during their dance training.

Building discipline, developing strength and stamina, achieving grace in movement is the work of years of study, and a process that never really ends. Sur Les Pointes (SLP) classes provides a positive environment where every student is expected to strive for excellence to the very best of their abilities.

We care about all our students and want them to do their best. We help them to enjoy and treasure the hours devoted to dance training. And most importantly, we encourage them to love dance for the sheer pleasure and sense of artistic fulfilment, rather than only for a sense of technical accomplishment.

CLASSICAL DANCE 13+ Adults
Beginners - Intermediate

Classical ballet is the basis of a good dance education – it provides the foundation for all other dance forms. It is the most demanding, most disciplined but also the most rewarding of them. Accomplishing solid ballet foundation is crucial to becoming an outstanding dancer: classically trained dancers can later transfer their skills into jazz, modern dance, or any other dance form they might decide to pursue. Sur Les Pointes (SLP) classes provides its students with such solid ballet foundation.

POINTE

EVER WONDERED HOW IT’S ACTUALLY POSSIBLE TO DANCE ON THE TIP OF THE TOES? WITH THIS CLASS WE CAN MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE AND GET ALMOST ANYONE ON POINTES. DREAMS COME TRUE AT ANY AGE!

Our Pointe class is for students who follow the Intermediate and Advanced ballet lessons. You will receive advice from our experienced teachers for how to select and wear pointe shoes. This is an exciting extra challenge to learn the principles of pointe technique, as this is not part of the regukar ballet classes. An extra class for those who want that real ‘ballerina feeling’.

This class is mostly at the barre but still includes some center work to provide that extra challenge. The class has been carefully designed to avoid injuries.

FLOOR BARRE

We have based this unique Fitness workout on all training from the professional dancers. Ballet dancers are known for their lean and beautiful boies, their graceful posture and endurance. In addition to ballet techniques, SLP Body Recharge & Fit also contains elements of various workout programs. Dance or ballet experience is not necessary to attend the class. 

SOME ADVANTAGES OF SLP FLOOR BARRE:

  • Mat & Toning different muscle groups are strengthened
  • Abdomen, back, hamstrings, etc.
  • Cardio & Standing – cardiovascular training, breathing techniques, fat burning and improvement of blood circulation. 
  • Stretching – relieves the tension and stress in the muscles and improves flexibility.

SLP Floor Barre

THIS CLASS IS DESIGNED IN SUCH A WAY THAT PEOPLE OF ALMOST ANY AGE, FITNESS LEVEL AND BODY CAN KEEP UP BY ADJUSTING THE NUMBER OF REPETITIONS AND THE INTENSITY. THIS WORKOUT IS SUITABLE FOR ALMOST ANYONE.

SRETCHING & FLEXIBILITY

The ideal class to work on general agility and to relax the muscles. Our bodies lose a lot of flexibility and agility as we get older and many movements become increasingly difficult.

Stretching is an excellent way to improve the flexibility of joints and muscles. It helps relieve tension and improves blood circulation. It also helps to recover muscles faster and reduces the risk of injuries.

Stretching is a great training in and of itself and can very well be combined with all our other lessons. In our Stretching classes, we combine stretching disciplines from ballet and gymnastics.
